Confidence often comes from how you identify yourself or your business. Redefining it or seeing the need for adjustment is a sign of growth and evolution. Here is the journey of the personal brand identifier for the Q.
Prince turned his name to a symbol. Jordan has the Jumpman logo. Jake Burton has an arrow synonymous with his namesake. Karl Kani simply used his signature. Your personal brand is simple in objective and theory, yet it can be most daunting for a designer to ideate for themselves. This is why the aforementioned household names stuck to their craft and left it to the professionals, they personally didn’t design them. So what is left of the professional? As a graphic designer makes a living creating the visual identity for other entities, it is the personal belief of the Q.Trenal Art+Design Department that any self-proclaimed designer or creator owes it to themself before their conclusion is to identify and create what they present themselves, as a souvenir in the world. Meaning to a logo only comes after the work and reputation, that is built behind it and nurtured like a tree (Ec. 7:8 ; Mt. 13:32). This framework is the literal foundation of the initial logo. A tree with it’s network of roots – organized chaos.
